Maybe acclimated

 This morning, as I prepped to leave, I checked the thermometer outside my bedroom window, and on seeing a reading in the high twenties, I thought, wow, warm. For my ride to PT, I traded the puffy jacket layer for one of my few intentionally purchased pieces of cycling gear, a midweight jacket. I even removed the newspaper toe warmers from my shoes.

I was fine! And on the ride, as seems to be my habit, I started calculating estimates and realized we're roughly (I was doing the math in my head after all) 20% of the way through winter. Now that I consider high twenties toasty, I guess it can safely start warming. Who knows, I might even strip down to a single layer of longjohns!
